Building Management Portal

Previously the Online Faculty System

Log changes and manage approval of changes to church buildings, churchyards and their contents within the Church of England.

With an account, you can:

Manage Online Applications for Faculty Permission:

  • The system supports the legal process known as the faculty jurisdiction, which governs alterations, repairs, and conservation works to Church of England churches and churchyards.
  • Parishes can submit applications for permission to carry out works on their churches or churchyards. These permissions cover a wide range of activities, from major structural changes to minor works, such as repairs or the introduction of items like plaques.

Manage your Minor Works List:

  • The system includes a list of items and activities that may be carried out without a full faculty under the List A and List B provisions of the Faculty Jurisdiction Rules.
  • List A covers works that do not require permission, while List B covers works that require consultation with the Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC) and approval from the Archdeacon, but do not require a full faculty.
